If necessary, the daily dosage can be increased to 225 mg. Usually the daily dose is increased every 4 days by 75 mg. The maximum daily dosage is 300 mg. In a hospital setting for severe illness, the initial daily dose for adults is 150 mg, if necessary, it is gradually increased to the maximum daily dose, which is divided into 2 doses. Upon reaching the therapeutic effect, the dose of the preparation is gradually reduced to the minimum effective, taking into account the individual response and tolerance of each patient. Prevention of recurrence of seizures or new episodes of depression. The effectiveness of venlafaxine in long-term treatment of depression (up to 12 months) has been established. Doses used to prevent relapse or new episodes of depression are similar to those used to treat patients with a primary episode of depression. It is necessary to regularly (at least once every 3 months) monitor the patient's condition to determine the effectiveness of long-term therapy with venlafaxine. Patients with impaired liver and kidney function. The recommended daily dose in adults with moderate hepatic and renal insufficiency is reduced by 50% compared to the usual daily dose.
