Indications:

prevention of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults; prevention of disease in the event of a known risk of vitamin D deficiency in children and adults; preventing vitamin D deficiency in the case of absorption disorders in children and adults; treatment of rickets and osteomalacia in children and adults; supportive therapy for osteoporosis in adults.

Composition:

1 tablet contains: active substances: 25mcg cholecalciferol equilibrated 1000j.m. vitamin D and excipients.

Action:

cholecalciferol through the active metabolites, especially calcitriol, increases the absorption of calcium and phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract, reabsorption of calcium in the kidneys and the concentration of calcium and phosphate in the blood. It inhibits the secretion of parathyroid hormone from parathyroid glands, facilitates bone mineralization and prevents the loss of calcium from the body.

Dosage:

prevention of rickets in newborns, infants and children: 1 tablet daily. Prevention of diseases in the case of known risk of vitamin D deficiency: 1 tablet daily. To prevent vitamin D deficiency in the case of absorption disorders in children and adults: 6-10 tablets per day. For adjuvant osteoporosis: 2 tablets daily. Newborns, infants and young children: dissolve the tablet in water on a teaspoon and give the water suspension to the child directly into the mouth, preferably with a meal. Adults: take a tablet with sufficient liquid.

Contraindications:

hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients, hypercalcaemia and / or hypercalcinia, nephrolithiasis and / or severe renal failure, alleged hypoparathyroidism.

COMPOSITION: 1 tablet Vigantoletten 1000 contains: active substances: 25mcg of cholecalciferol equivalent to 1000j.m. vitamin D and auxiliary substances.

INDICATIONS : Vigantoletten 1000 is used in the case of: diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency; prevention of vitamin D deficiency;  supporting the treatment of osteoporosis in adults;

treatment of rickets;  treatment of osteomalacia.

ACTION: Cholecalciferol in Vigantoletten helps to increase the absorption of calcium and phosphate in the gastrointestinal tract and in the blood, as well as the reabsorption of calcium in the kidneys, it is possible thanks to the action of active metabolites. In addition, cholecalciferol inhibits the excessive secretion of parathyroid hormone from the parathyroid glands, prevents calcium loss, and has a positive effect on bone mineralization.

DOSAGE: For prophylactic purposes, such as the prevention of rickets in children, infants and newborns, it is recommended to administer 1 tablet a day. In patients with known risk of vitamin D deficiency, the suggested dose is also 1 tablet a day. In diagnosed vitamin D malabsorption in children and adults, it is recommended to take 6 to 10 tablets a day in order to prevent vitamin D deficiency. The use of Vigantoletten during adjuvant treatment of osteoporosis is recommended to take 2 tablets a day.

Reception method: When using Vigantoletten in newborns, infants and young children, it is recommended to dissolve 1 tablet in 1 teaspoon of boiled water. The prepared suspension should be given directly to the child's mouth during the meal.

When using Vigantoletten by adults, take the tablet with plenty of water.

CONTRAINDICATIONS: Before taking Vigantoletten, carefully read the attached leaflet, if in doubt, consult your doctor about the use and dosage. Do not use Vigantoletten in case of hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. Vigantoletten is not recommended for use in patients with known hypercalcaemia, hypercalciuria, severe renal failure, nephrolithiasis or pseudo-hypoparathyroidism.
