Pharmacological properties

Pharmacodynamics. The preparation has a local irritant, emollient and keratolytic effect, improves nutrition and hair growth. salicylic acid, which is part of its composition, has an antiseptic effect, together with the emollient effect of castor oil, it removes dandruff. tincture of paprika penetrates into the hair follicles and irritates the hair follicles, stimulating their growth.

Pharmacokinetics. Has not been studied.

Indications

Prevention and treatment of hair loss, removal and prevention of dandruff.

Application

Rub the preparation into the scalp for 1 hour before washing the hair, usually no more than 1 time per week. the course of treatment is 1-2 months. after 3-4 weeks it must be repeated.

Contraindications

Diseases of the skin of various kinds, hypersensitivity of the skin to the components of the preparation.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, dryness, peeling, skin irritation, contact dermatitis, urticaria, itching, requiring discontinuation of the preparation.

With prolonged use, absorption into the systemic circulation and the development of side effects characteristic of salicylates are possible: tinnitus, dizziness, epigastric pain, nausea, vomiting, acidosis, tachypnea.

Special instructions

Do not apply the preparation to places with an acute inflammatory process of the skin or its damage.

Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly with plenty of running water.

Use during pregnancy and lactation. The use of the preparation during pregnancy is contraindicated. If necessary, treatment with Capsiol, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Children. Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

The ability to influence the reaction rate when driving vehicles and other mechanisms. Unknown.

Interactions

Topical administration of preparations containing salicylic acid should not be combined with oral administration of preparations containing acetylsalicylic acid and other NSAIDs. do not prescribe concurrently with benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoid preparations. salicylic acid can increase the skin's permeability to other preparations. may enhance the undesirable effect of methotrexate, the hypoglycemic effect of oral antidiabetic preparations, sulfonylurea derivatives.

Overdose

When used in high doses, keratolytic action and allergic reactions may increase. symptomatic therapy.
