Indications:

Citicot 250 mg is a food for special medical purposes indicated for dietary management in people with degenerative processes affecting the nerve cells of the central nervous system (CNS). It is also perfect for adjuvant use in the prevention of glaucoma and amblyopia. Addressed to adults.

Properties:

The active ingredient of Cytykot 250 mg is citicoline in the form of inner salt. Citicoline is an exogenous form of cytidine 5-di-phosphocholine that is involved in the production of phosphatidylcholine and the biosynthesis of membrane phospholipids, which are of great importance for the dynamic regulation of the integrity of cell membranes. Citicoline and its hydrolysis products, cytidine and choline, may have a stabilizing and repairing effect on cell membranes by providing important substrates for membrane production. They can also restore neuronal function by providing substrates for acetylcholine production. Thanks to its properties, citicoline has a dual action - it reduces damage to nervous tissue and facilitates the reconstruction of already damaged nervous tissue. Citicoline has a high degree of absorption, and the safety of its use as an innovative food ingredient (novel food) has been confirmed by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA).

Composition:

citicoline (citidine 5'-choline pyrophosphate inner salt), vitamin B2 (riboflavin, sodium 5-phosphate) fillers - calcium phosphate, magnesium stearate, maltodextrin, capsule shell: gelatin.

Use:

It is recommended to use up to 4 capsules a day - depending on the doctor's recommendation.

Do not exceed the recommended daily allowance.

Important information:

Citicot 250 mg is contraindicated in the case of hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation.

Not recommended for children, pregnant and breastfeeding women.

Citicoline enhances the effect of levodopa (L-dopa).

Citicoline should not be administered concomitantly with meclofenoxate.

The preparation should be stored in a closed package, at room temperature and out of the sight and reach of children.
