Ferroview is used to treat iron deficiency without anemia (latent iron deficiency) and iron deficiency anemia (clinically significant iron deficiency). Iron deficiency and its degree must be confirmed by appropriate laboratory tests.

Active ingredients

Iron is a mineral necessary for the synthesis of the protein hemoglobin, which is contained within red blood cells (erythrocytes) and is the main transporter of oxygen to all cells of the human body.

Lack of iron leads to the development of iron deficiency anemia caused by a lack of hemoglobin and a decrease in its content in erythrocytes. Iron deficiency interferes with normal blood oxygenation and contributes to symptoms such as fatigue, lethargy, dull hair, brittle nails, drowsiness, shortness of breath, and others.

Ferrowia is a dietary supplement formulated with the patented Lipofer® technology, which allows liposomal iron to be absorbed directly from the intestines rather than irritating the stomach. Lipofer® technology helps to avoid the side effects common when taking iron supplements, including in pregnant women: staining of the mucous membrane and enamel of the teeth, heartburn, intestinal irritation, constipation. This is due to the fact that the iron in Ferroview is enclosed in a special capsule and does not come into contact with the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines.

The bioavailability of liposomal iron, which is part of Ferroview, is 3.5 times higher than that of ferrous pyrophosphate, and 2.7 times higher than that of ferrous sulfate. The absorption of iron in liposomal form is almost 5 times higher than that of traditional iron salts.

Daily intake of iron supplements by pregnant women at a dose of 30-60 mg and folic acid - 400 μg, helps to reduce the likelihood of anemia, postpartum sepsis, premature birth and low birth weight. Menstruating adults and adolescent girls (non-pregnant women of reproductive age) are advised to take 30-60 mg of elemental iron daily for 3 consecutive months of the year.

Contraindications
