Indications

For short-term use in the treatment of occasional constipation.

Composition

 1 hard capsule contains 196.9 mg - 371.2 mg of dry extract from Rheum palmatum L. and / or Rheum officinale Baillon, radix (rooting root), which corresponds to 15 mg of hydroxyanthracene derivatives expressed as rhein. Extractant: ethanol 70% V / V. Excipient: lactose monohydrate 3.8 mg - 178.1 mg. The other ingredients are: colloidal anhydrous silica, calcium carbonate, crospovidone type A, magnesium stearate, hard gelatin capsule with imprint (capsule: black iron oxide, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, gelatin; ink: shellac, propylene glycol, concentrated ammonia solution, potassium hydroxide, black iron oxide).

Action

Laxative.

Dosage

Use orally. Adults, the elderly and adolescents aged 12 years: 2 capsules a day in the evening. Use after eating with water. Usually two to three times a week is sufficient. The use of the preparation for more than two weeks requires consultation with a doctor.

Contraindications

Allergy to the active substance or any of the other ingredients of this preparation; bowel obstruction, narrowing or atony, appendicitis, inflammatory bowel disease (e.g. Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis), unknown cause abdominal pain, severe dehydration with excessive loss of electrolytes and water. Do not use in children under 12 years of age. Do not use the preparation during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
