From pharmacy to family business

In 1964, Dr. Dieter Schöne the Park Pharmacy in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. He previously worked as a production manager in the industry and had already developed a number of products there.

The urge to research never let go of him. In addition to the pharmacy, he founded SteriPharm Pharmazeutische Produkte GmbH in 1981. With his experience as a production manager, he initially developed solutions for various areas of application.

Back in the nineties, Dr. Schöne recognized the importance of folic acid and iodine for the human organism and consistently focused on development and products in this area.

At the end of 2002 his daughter Dr. Franziska Coenders, also with a PhD in pharmacy, appointed managing director - Dr. Schöne retired. As the mother of four children, Ms. Coenders knew about the wishes and concerns of women wanting to have children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, and was able to implement them in the development of new products.

Further folic acid products and a preparation against pregnancy sickness followed, so that today SteriPharm has become a specialist in the field of folic acid / B vitamins. It is our aim to continuously optimize the products and to develop new products.

By transforming SteriPharm into a GmbH & Co. KG at the end of 2004, the company founder created an independent, private family company.

In July 2018 the managing director of SteriPharm, Dr. Franziska Coenders. Since then, the management has been continued by Mr. Klaus Brill as managing director in the interests of the family.
