Pharmacological properties

Saponins from primrose roots exhibit a secretolytic effect, which is achieved mainly by a reflex mechanism due to irritation of the sensitive nerve endings of the vagus nerve of the digestive tract.

Essential oils and flavonoids of thyme herb have bronchospasmolytic and secretolytic effects. The antibacterial effect of the preparation was also confirmed, due to the thymol component of the essential oil from the herb of thyme.

Pharmacokinetics. The thymol component of thyme essential oil is excreted mainly by the lungs. Flavonoids (eg apigenin, luteolin) of thyme herbs are broken down by the intestinal microflora and are well absorbed into the bloodstream and excreted either unchanged or as metabolites, mainly by the kidneys.

Indications

Treatment of acute and inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by a cough with the formation of viscous sputum.

Application

Adults and children over 12 years of age take 1 tablet 3 times a day.

The tablets should be taken without chewing, with a sufficient amount of liquid (mainly a glass of water) before meals.

Contraindications

Increased individual sensitivity to the components of the preparation, as well as to other types of primroses or other medicinal plants of the labiate family, to birch, wormwood and celery.

Side effects

Gastrointestinal disturbances, including cramps, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea, are uncommon. very rarely, hypersensitivity reactions are possible, including difficulty breathing, skin rashes, itching, hives, swelling of the face, mouth and / or pharynx.

If an allergic reaction occurs, Bronchipret TP tablets must not be reused.

Special instructions

Due to the content of glucose and lactose, the preparation should not be taken by patients with hereditary galactose intolerance, lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption.

If symptoms persist for more than 1 week or difficulty breathing, fever, purulent or bloody sputum, the patient should see a doctor immediately.

Patients with gastritis or stomach ulcers should not use Bronchipret TP film-coated tablets without consulting a doctor.

Note for diabetics. 1 tablet contains an average of 0.02 XE. The tablets are gluten free.

Use during pregnancy and lactation
