Monpharm Open Joint Stock Company was established on December 12, 1994. by corporatization with the subsequent privatization of the state enterprise Monastyryshche Pharmaceutical Plant, organized in 1986 on the basis of a distillery, as part of the Kiev Pharmaceutical Association "Darnitsa". Pharmaceutical production began with the collection of first aid kits and complete set of water for injection of antibiotics, which were manufactured at the main enterprise of FD "Darnytsia". In 1987, the first preparations in the form of tablets were launched: Etaperazine, Potassium iodide, which were added to the AI-1 and AI-2 medical kits for the Ministry of Defense. The section for bottling alcohol solutions of Iodine, Diamond Green, Novoimanin was launched in 1989. In 1994 at OJSC "Monpharm" a shop for the production of suppositories was established and the first batches of products were made: Candles with beauty extract, Candles with novocaine. Today the range of medicines produced by the company includes more than 60 names of preparations of different pharmacotherapeutic groups.

Preparations manufactured by OJSC "Monpharm", due to high efficiency, proper quality, availability are successfully sold not only in Ukraine but also in the CIS countries.

Taking into account the needs of consumers, our company is constantly expanding the range of its products, through the introduction into production of original preparations based on substances of plant and synthetic origin, as well as analogues of highly effective pharmaceuticals from leading manufacturers. Development and implementation in the production of new preparations is carried out in close cooperation with the State Scientific Center of Medicines (Kharkov), the National University of Pharmacy (Kharkov), Lviv State Medical University. Danylo Halytsky (Lviv), MNPC "Biosan" (Vinnytsia), as well as other research and specialized enterprises of Ukraine.

The material base of OJSC "Monpharm" is constantly modernized, a rigid multilevel control system ensures the proper quality of finished products, the team of highly professional specialists is annually replenished with young specialists - graduates of the National University of Pharmacy (Kharkov). The company has a modern warehouse of finished products, equipped with the necessary equipment to comply with the required temperature storage conditions, as well as an isothermal fleet, which in combination with a favorable geographical location provides timely and quality delivery of products to any region of Ukraine. All this makes it possible to gradually bring production to the requirements of international standards series 1S0 9001, GMP, GLP, GDR, GPP.

Also fundamental for our company is the quality of raw materials used for the production of medicines. OJSC "Monpharm" cooperates with such well-known manufacturers of high-quality chemical substances as "Omicron Qnimica SA" and "Antibioticos" Spain, "BFGoodrich" Germany, "Ranbaxy" India, "Shandong Xinhua Pharmaceutical Factory" China, etc.

OJSC "Monpharm", focusing on the production of highly effective preparations, pays special attention to the manufacture of preparations in the form of suppositories, and today is a leader in their production in Ukraine.

Suppositories as a dosage form have a constant tendency to develop and improve in both domestic and foreign medical practice. For a long time, they were mistakenly used only as a means of treating local diseases. Modern medical practice is increasingly using the general therapeutic effect of this dosage form.

In most leading European countries (Italy, France, Germany), the range of suppositories is about 1000 items.

OJSC "Monpharm" has mastered several areas of suppository dosage forms:

• suppositories for children;
• topical suppositories for use in obstetrics, gynecology and proctology;
• systemic suppositories for the treatment of allergies, respiratory organs, cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, urological and other diseases;
• A special place is occupied by suppositories used as preparations of systemic action, due to the anatomical structure of the rectum.

Features of outflow of blood and lymph from a rectum create considerable advantages of application of rectal therapy in comparison with other ways of medicines:

• the preparation enters directly into the general circulation, which ensures the absence of adverse effects on the gastrointestinal tract and liver;
• high level of preparation absorption (when the preparation passes through the liver by 12-20% reduced efficiency);
• high rate of absorption (the rate of absorption of many preparations administered rectally is much higher than those taken orally; in some cases it can be equated to the rate of entry of the preparation into the general circulation in intramuscular and in some cases in intravenous etc. injections);
• appointment of highly active preparations in minimal doses (which reduces their toxic effects on the body);

In addition, the simplicity and painlessness of the introduction of preparations, no risk of infection, the possibility of using preparations with unpleasant taste and odor create advantages for the widespread use of suppositories. Their use is also cost-effective because it does not require special medical equipment.

It is also necessary to note the social significance of the national production of suppositories - the main product of OJSC "Monpharm". After all, until 1994, the industrial production of suppositories in Ukraine was absent. The needs of the population were met in part by imports from Russia and abroad. Given the above advantages of suppositories, in 1994, after conducting together with DNCLZ (Kharkov), a set of scientific studies on the development of a new range of preparations in the form of suppositories, JSC "Monpharm" successfully mastered their production. about 30 names of suppositories, the sales of which are growing every year. But this is clearly not enough to fully meet the needs of the country's population. Therefore, OJSC "Monpharm" constantly expands the range of suppositories through the introduction of fundamentally new preparations and preparations - generics. For the introduction of modern technologies and production of quality preparations in the form of suppositories OJSC "Monpharm" became the winner of the national competition "Higher test" and the winner of the regional stage of the competition "100 best products of Ukraine" in the category "industrial goods for the population". Wholesale structures can be divided into several groups:

85% of the total sales volume - commercial wholesale pharmaceutical companies;

12% - municipal regional pharmacy bases "Pharmacy";

2% - direct deliveries of pharmaceutical products to pharmacies;

1% - deliveries of pharmaceutical products directly to medical institutions.

OJSC "Monpharm" is a leading pharmaceutical company in Cherkasy region, which is confirmed by honorary diplomas of the Pharmaceutical Association of Ukraine and the results of the national rating "Pharmexpert", according to which OJSC "Monpharm" ranks 13th among 162 domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers. Every week the cars loaded with products go in the direction of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Lviv, Odessa, Simferopol, Luhansk and other regional cities of our country. But successful marketing is impossible without developing and implementing an effective marketing support strategy.
