Olainfarm is a pharmaceutical
company in Latvia, one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the Baltics.
The field of activity is the development and production of medicines and
chemical and pharmaceutical products. The main production is located in Olaine.
The company employs about 800 people. The chairman of the board of the company
is Lauris Matsievskis.
The company was founded in the
LSSR in 1972 as a state enterprise under the name "Olaine
Chemical-Pharmaceutical Plant", the main goal of which was to provide
pharmaceutical raw materials to all factories of the Soviet Union engaged in
the production of finished dosage forms.
Since 2011, Olainfarm has been
supplying anti-tuberculosis drugs to the World Health Organization. The
company's shares are listed on the Official List of the Riga Stock Exchange, a
member of NASDAQ OMX. In 2012 Olainfarm was recognized as the best Latvian
company listed on the Baltic Stock Exchange In 2014 Olainfarm received the
Export Champion Award in the Export and Innovation Award 2014 competition
organized by the Ministry of Economy and the Latvian Investment and Development
Agency
